Our Charter
“To protect and preserve the North West Cape, now and for future generations”
Our objectives are to:
- actively conserve the natural environment of the North West Cape and surrounding areas
- be advocates for the environment through engagement with local, state and federal government bodies, scientists and individuals qualified to provide information about proposed developments to ensure the unique values of the Ningaloo World Heritage Area and Exmouth Gulf are protected;
- educate the public and generate awareness of the intrinsic values of the environment through the delivery of lectures and public meetings, provision of volunteer opportunities, calculated directly or indirectly to achieve any or all of the objectives
- develop and promote stewardship of the natural environment
- encourage research into environmental values of the area
- encourage sustainability measures to minimise the local and global impact on the environment, whether by individuals, organisations or commerce.
- affiliate with and assist any other individuals, groups, body or bodies through active volunteer efforts to further any or all of the objectives
